Prayer and Praise

Wednesday @ 12 Noon

As we are committed to glorify God in all our ministries, we take seriously the biblical pattern of meeting regularly to pray. Prayer is the backbone of faithful and effective ministry. In light of this, each Wednesday at noon we meet together to worship, share testimonies, study the Bible, and above all, pray. We pray for the needs of one another, the church, the community and God's work around the world.

Men’s Ministry & Breakfast

A Men’s Breakfast is held the second Saturday of the month at 7:00am in Fellowship Hall. The breakfast is free and any male young or old may attend. Each month one of the men shares his testimony as an encouragement to others. Come join us for a great time of fellowship!
The Senior Men’s Breakfast is held the fourth Friday of the month and meets at the the Offshore Restaurant at 8:00 am. This breakfast for all retired men is for the purpose of fellowship. Each man is responsible for the cost of his own meal. Come join the senior men of the church!

Nursery

Nursery (Infants to 3-year-olds)

We have a nursery that is available for infants up through age 3.  There are different rooms for different ages. There is a crib room for the infants and a playroom for the older children. All  staff must fill out an application to work in the nursery. Only approved, screened staff can work in the nursery.

Evangelism & Missions

West Rockport Baptist Church is passionate about sharing the gospel of  Jesus Christ.  Christ commanded us to "go and make disciples of all  nations" (Matthew 28:19).  To help prepare our congregation to fulfill  this command, we offer various opportunities for evangelism training.

Multiplication

“Multiplication” is a key component—not just winning people to the  Lord one-by-one (addition) - but hopefully training those won to the Lord to win others,  and then also train others.

On-the-job training

On-the-job training is another vital ingredient. By actually going  out with experienced trainers in real life witnessing situations, people  learn how to share their faith. Much like learning to fly an airplane  would be impossible without actually getting in the cockpit, learning  how to evangelize is difficult without leaving the confines of a  classroom.

Worship

Sunday Services: Worship Services, Sermon, and Classes

Each Sunday morning and evening we gather for worship in the sanctuary. Our goal is to exalt our God and find our joy in him. The services offer a blend of hymns and modern choruses. We are blessed with a worship team and several instrumentalists including piano, organ, guitar, drum box, and keyboard. The sermons are centered on the Bible and work through books of the Bible. Nursery is provided during the morning service.
Prior to our morning worship service, we offer an hour of Sunday School for all ages including several adult classes to choose from.

Gleaners

Gleaners is a group of ladies who meet at the church on the second Wednesday of each month to learn more about our missionaries and pray for them. We also encourage and support our missionaries in various ways such as sending birthday and anniversary cards, Christmas gifts, and gifts for special needs and projects.

Women's Ministry

The Mission of the WRBC Women’s Ministry is to help women grow in the  knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ through Bible study, fellowship and  outreach.

During the fall and spring we offer two different Bible  studies, one on Monday evenings and the other on Tuesday mornings.  In  the summer, we organize a garden tour and a social event, both of which  are open to all ladies.

The Christmas Candlelight Dessert night (early December) and the  Mother/Daughter/Friend banquet (every other year) offer special opportunities to invite friends. Women are encouraged to invite their friends and family to attend.
